The assembly is available again within a short time after eliminating the cause of the fault and replacing the extinguishing equipment. As the effects of the arcing are reduced to a minimum, cleaning is not necessary.
The arc-fault mitigation system monitors the assembly even when the switchgear assembly door is open and offers the greatest possible protection for personnel working on the switchgear assembly.
For safely and flexibly designing your power distribution even according to the future valid standard DIN EN 61439-2 ED3
Couplers in the VAMOCON system are integrated longitudinally into the central main busbar system and installed from the right and left, phase-shifted, at the height of the switch connectors. The spacing between the front and rear busbars, combined with support between them, make the design possible and simultaneously stiffen it.
Our longitudinal couplers are tested up to a short-circuit withstand current (Icw) of 100 kA during one second. Since no complex busbar risers have to be built, and no second cubicle is required, the copper input is reduced by about 120 kg per cubicle compared with a conventional coupler at 3,200 A rated current. The couplers are available up to 5,000 A for 3- and 4-pole main busbar systems.
The system allows forms of internal separation ranging from Form 1 to 4b (DIN EN 61439-2) as well as configurations ranging from free-standing single cubicles and cubicles lined up in rows to corner cubicles (L- and U-shaped) and back-to-back configurations. Two construction heights and a large number of variants enable a wide variety of solutions. Plinths with 100 and 200 mm heights are possible.
